I’m on episode 2 and I already like her character a lot better than the one in the Netflix series. And while My Melody & Kuromi (the one on Netflix) is beautifully animated, I’m irritated that Kuromi’s Sidekick, Baku, is absent. I recommend reading the Wikipedia page for the Japanese mythological creature that inspired the Sanrio character Baku. At some point I need to make my own Baku talisman out of polymer clay for my bedside table. I wonder if such an object would help with dream recall. In the meantime, I’m embracing being a total fucking dork and watching Onegai My Melody on my iPad while propped up against a giant My Melody Squishmallow. All of these words are in the Bible.
