kelsey’s blah blah blahg

I’ve been very into this woman in Seattle I found scrolling on instagram reels (I know, I know) who makes unconventional recipes, often to the horror of other people who come across her too. Her handle is @kelita_rosita and she uses the hashtag #WIEIADFSWJSA which I quickly figured out stands for “what I eat in a day for someone who just scrounges around” because she usually introduces her content with the phrase. Meals that stand out most in my memory are fruit pizza and kibble for humans. She also loves corn and pineapple and adds both ingredients to pretty much everything.

The replies are a mix of horror, disgust, encouragement, curiosity, and usually wholesome discussion in what’s otherwise a sort of depressing social media landscape. I love her videos because there is a striking juxtaposition between her casual, pleasant demeanor and the intensity with which she handles herself in the kitchen. What’s more, I’ve been following her long enough to know that her sister works as a professional chef!

While I’m not quite as creative as she is when it concerns my culinary habits, I have a few odd staples including putting an over-medium egg on leftover pizza. I airfry the pizza (this time it was Chicago style deep dish) and cook the egg in a small egg pan while the pizza’s in the toaster oven. Today, I sprinkled on some ghost pepper flakes because I realized the flavor of ghost pepper is wonderful and it’s not debilitatingly hot in small doses.

Here are my results:
